author bio A little bit about me . . .

I like to do things. That about sums up my life. I'm always working on one thing or another. My idea of relaxing is not sitting on a beach, or lounging in a pool, or watching a movie. I am simply not that kind of person. Nothing wrong with people like that, but I'm just not wired that way. If I find myself in any of those situations, I am not relaxed, I'm anxious to get back into my studio and work on something! My idea of relaxing is to have an uninterrupted 16 hours where I can work on something without stopping to cook, or clean or go anywhere.

I tend to get bored fairly easy, so I like to have a lot of different projects in the works at any given time. Then when I get tired of working on one thing, I can switch to something else without missing a beat! My craft studio, that I affectionately refer to as my craft house, is pretty full. Every room has a different kind of craft - sewing & quilting, weaving, art, jewelry making. I love having friends over to do art or some other craft together.

I try to spend a couple hours every day on writing, as a nice way to start each day. After that, I like to do different things in two hour chunks of time. This seems to keep me the most productive, since I don't waste a lot of time when I only get two hours to work on something. I like to leave the evenings for drawing, crochet and knitting.

I also spend time working with, playing and exercising my goofy three dogs. They keep me on my toes, and don't let me sit too long in one place. Since relocating to Florida from Wisconsin in 2018, I'm enjoying year round nice weather with my husband Frank. We love watching the birds around the little lake in our back yard. The pelicans are our favorites. We're planting flowers in the front yard and a vegetable garden in the back and Frank is enjoying fresh produce for his salads. Life is good.
